As I am sure you will understand, the arrangements this year will be slightly different to previous years due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19.
To enable us to work to current Government guidance and to protect everyone’s safety, this year we will have to provide pre-allocated times for each child to collect their GCSE results from the school during Results Day. This measure has to be in place to avoid large crowds congregating. You will need to comply with all on site guidance and arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. Individual student appointment times will be sent in the post before the end of term.
Your child must be present in order to collect their results. If your child is not able to visit school, and wants their results collected by a parent, you will need to email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) in advance before results day. If results are not collected from the school at the allocated time, we will post them home instead.
Parents/carers are welcome to attend school with their child to collect their child’s GCSE results, however no other extended family or siblings are permitted to enter the site with them. On arrival at school please join the queue outside the main reception area and remain 2 metres socially distanced apart from other families until you are called into the hall.
Results will be collected from the main hall and there will be an opportunity to have a family or individual photo. To help with Post-16 options, Mr Rawlings from Springwood Sixth Form and Mr Byron from The College of West Anglia will be available on site. Students intending to go to Springwood Sixth Form in September must accept their place with Mr Rawlings whilst in school. If you, or your child, have any queries related to Springwood Sixth Form or the College of West Anglia you must leave your contact details with them and they will contact with you as soon as they can.
We look forward to seeing you all on results day.
