What Our Governors Do

The main tasks of the school’s Governing Body are:

To provide strategic direction for the work of the school.
To support the work of the school as a critical friend.
To hold the school to account for the standards and quality of education it achieves.
The Governing Body meets 4 times a year, focussing on the school’s strategic plan as well as monitoring policies.

The governors at Marshland are very proactive and take a great interest in school life. They support the school but also challenge it. Governors invite regular feedback from parents and students on how the school is run.

WNAT Trustees

Responsibility for all the academies that make up  West Norfolk Academies Trust and for providing education in those academies is entrusted to the Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees have overall accountability for all the schools within the trust and manage all finances (including audits), premises and personnel areas, via subcommittees. Work is also delegated to our local governing body, whose assistance is greatly valued and supported by the Trustees.

For further information on our Board of Trustees, visit the West Norfolk Academies Trust website, Governance Page.
