Marshland High School

Face Coverings from 17th May 2021

As from Monday 17th May, there will be a change in school regarding the use of face coverings.

Parents & Carers

You will no doubt be aware that the Government announced earlier this week that, as from Monday 17th May, there will be a change in school regarding the use of face coverings.

At Marshland High School, students will no longer be required to wear face coverings in the classroom, however, your child can continue to wear them if they wish.  Students, staff and visitors, unless they are exempt, must continue to wear face coverings in corridors as these are areas where bubbles frequently mix and where it is not possible to socially distance.

If your child travels to school using a public bus, school bus, taxi or other form of public transport, they MUST still wear face coverings, as per government guidance.

If we have an increase in Covid-19 cases at Marshland we may reinstate face coverings in classrooms for a limited time, in line with the new government guidance, as this will help reduce the spread of any secondary infection. Should this become necessary we will notify you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support.
