Immunisation Programme For Children
Just One Norfolk information about Immunisation during COVID-19
During the current COVID-19 pandemic there are lots of things that parents are having to think about with regards their childrens health and wellbeing.
With regards to Immunisation, The Norfolk School Immunisation Team, have informed us that:
"We (The Norfolk School Immunisation Team) are currently waiting for further guidance from NHSE regarding the recovery plan for the school immunisation service. All the completed electronic consents which we have received from parents will remain active until we are able to come in to school and the consent portals will re open for a limited time for those parents haven’t consented previously. It is very difficult for us to be precise on the details as we don’t know about the plans for schools yet, but as soon as we receive any information we will be in touch with schools. We will also be updating the immunisation page on https://www.justonenorfolk.nhs.uk with the recovery plan too, so please refer to the website. The service will work hard to ensure that all young people will be offered the opportunity to receive any of the vaccinations which they may have missed due to the pandemic, either in school or through community clinics once we are advised that we can begin working again."
The Just One Norfolk Website gives the following advice:
"As soon as schools are re-opened and the School Immunisation Team are advised that they can recommence the teenage vaccination programme this website ( https://www.justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/childhood-illnesses/immunisations-during-covid-19-outbreak) will be updated with the information on the catch up programme. If you are worried please contact the School Immunisation team by emailing ccs.norfolk.immunisationteam@nhs.net or by calling Just One Number on 0300 300 0123"
If you still have concerns, then please contact the School Immunisation Team on one of the platforms mentioned above.
