Student Council

Every student’s voice is represented through our student council.  A representative from all 24 tutor groups sits on the student council.

The council meets fortnightly, at lunchtime on Tuesday of Week 2. Minutes of each meeting are typed and given to each form for discussion and debate.

Issues discussed so far this year include:

  • Behaviour
  • Attitude to learning
  • Ready to Learn checks
  • Charity support
  • Toilets
  • Wet break arrangements.

The council have set a target of £5,000 they wish the school to raise for charity this academic year – this is to be the sum total of all fund raising activities for all charities donated to.

The council is currently engaged in a long term project to build a second covered area outside for students to gather under during free time between lessons.
