Student Council

Every student’s voice is represented through our student council.  A representative from all 24 tutor groups sits on the student council.

The council meets fortnightly, at lunchtime on Tuesday of Week 2. Minutes of each meeting are typed and given to each form for discussion and debate.

Issues discussed so far this year include:

  • Behaviour
  • Charity support and fundraising ideas
  • Support for Anti-Bullying ambassadors.
  • Facilities at Marshland High School
  • Lunchtime routines

The council have set a target they wish the school to raise for various charities this academic year.

The council was successful last term in acquiring funding to improve outside areas including; new benches, paving and walled areas.  The student council still aims to raise funding to build a second covered area outside, for students to use between lessons and during their free time.
