Record Breaking GCSE Results

More record-breaking GCSE results for Marshland!
The school would like to congratulate the year 11 students who have today received their results of the English Language GCSE exam which they sat in January.

The school would like to congratulate the year 11 students who have today received their results of the English Language GCSE exam which they sat in January.

79% attained an A* - C grade, which is well above the national average of 65%.

Even more impressively 90% of students made 3 levels of progress from their KS2 English results (compares with a national average of 69%) and a truly amazing 46% made 4 levels of progress from their KS2 English result (compared with the national average of 30%).  These figures beat even last year’s fabulous English results in terms of the amount of progress these students have made since being at Marshland.

Congratulations to all the students and thanks to all the staff involved for all their hard work too.  We hope this success will help students to realise how just much they can achieve and so motivate them to do really well with their summer GCSEs too.
