Dear Students, Parents and Carers,
I am pleased to announce our September 2010 Ofsted Inspection Report. A copy of the report can be downloaded by clicking the Ofsted icon below or via the Ofsted Website. The Report recognises many of the improvements the school has made in the last three years. Our bestever GCSE results were achieved in 2010 and are a reflection of this improvement. As always there are key areas we will develop on behalf of our students. Please do take time to read the report. In essence:
· We are an improving school. · GCSE results are improving rapidly. · The curriculum is good. · Students are safe. · Students make a good contribution to the school and community. · Attendance is good. · Care, guidance and support are all good. · Leadership and management across the school is good. · Teaching and Learning is improving and this is very well managed. We have three areas to improve upon and the detail is highlighted on page 5 of the report. These are: · To continue to raise attainment across the school. · To analyse in more detail what we do well and what we need to improve. · To ensure governors are provided with detailed information so they can continue to support the school. There is a letter at the back of the report specifically addressed to students.
I believe it is a fair report which recognises that we are a rapidly improving school where students can achieve in a safe and caring environment.
Yours faithfully
