Ms J. Parker
Careers Advisor

We are constantly seeking additional opportunities to provide careers information, advice and guidance to our students, and regularly take trips out to careers events and college open days.

Careers_01Key times for specific careers Information and Guidance are in Year 9 when choices need to be made about selecting courses for GCSE and in KS4 when considering options at 16+.

Throughout Years 9, 10 and 11, students are given the opportunity to meet with visitors from outside school, such as the armed forces, local employers and education providers, to gather information about possible progression routes beyond GCSE.  All students have the opportunity to take part in ‘Taster’ days, at The College of West Anglia, and most attend local careers conventions and open days.

We advise Year 11 pupils on the application process for further education and training. Year 11 are also taken to the Opportunities West Norfolk Careers Convention at the beginning of the school year where local businesses and colleges promote continued education and training.
